In August 2024, my little boy Finn was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder. What followed was 10 months of isolation and shielding, 48 blood transfusions, chemotherapy over Christmas and a stem cell transplant for New Year’s. During this time, Candlelighters made our very worst moments a little more bearable.

In support of Candlelighters and their 50th year, this summer I will be cycling 50kms everyday for 50 days.

Your fundraising will help provide support for children and young people during treatment, and fund research to improve outcomes for children with cancer.

What your money could fund:

£110 could fund a Family Support Worker for one day, bringing fun and comfort to families during hospital stays.

£250 could fund a sibling group, supporting children whose brother or sister has been diagnosed with cancer.

£450 could fund 15 nights of accommodation, helping parents stay close to their child in hospital.

£1,100 could fund a holiday for a family to make precious, happy memories through treatment.
