Story
It’s been a couple of years since I have raised money for a charity and if you could dig deep and donate anything it would be much appreciated. If we raise £500 my employer will match the donation making the contribution £1k. A few months back in June of this year I saw an ex work colleague from my days working in Leeds supporting a charity and my wife and myself felt we wanted to support the charity. We have committed to supporting an individual through their primary and secondary education for the rest of their educational life hopefully providing them an opportunity to succeed in life. The Charity’s sponsors over 400 local children to attend primary and secondary school. Funds infrastructure development, including classrooms, dormitories, science labs, libraries, and the Nkuringo Community Vocational Secondary School . Meet Sandra!! Who Gillian and I have committed to support her education. The photos were take weeks apart and what a difference. Sandra is aged 7 years with 5 brothers and 2 sister from murole cell Nkuringo and she is the 6th born child and lives near Bwindi and her family is a typical humble family because the whole family spends all their time guarding crops from being eaten by wild animals. She lives near the forest which is the home of the mountain gorillas, the forest borders uganda, Rwanda and the Congo and i can’t wait to visit to meet Sandra and the Gorillas. For a family having the opportunity for one of their children to be at school is an absolute honour so usually only one child per family in greatest need is suggested. The whole education system needs support and every penny will help either the schooling infrastructure or another child like Sandra. Thank you in advance for any size of donation. Let’s make a difference and get to the £500. ❤️
