Story
Hello!
Thank you for clicking on the link I’ve set up to raise money for the C4 Georgina Ward, Haematology and Oncology Assessment Unit (Triage) and the Georgina Day Case Unit at Russells Hall Hospital.
This unit supports patients and families going through their cancer journey.
I’m also donating my hair on Saturday 28th November 2026, so it’s not just you who will be donating, I’m also in it to help donate too!
I’ve been on my hair growth journey for just over two years and it’s now at a good length to have it cut, packaged and sent off to help make wigs for children with cancer. But the reason why I’ve chosen the C4 Georgina Ward to raise money for is because it’s a place where you will more than likely know at least one person, whether family, friend, neighbour or even perhaps a colleague, that has been a patient here during their cancer treatment journey.
Dealing with a cancer diagnosis is a difficult and distressing time for both the patient and their loved ones. It is the main goal to make a difficult time more bearable by ensuring a strong focus on the well-being of patients, families, and carers.
By contributing to this campaign, you will help to raise money to purchase vital pieces of equipment, refurbishments to areas of the ward and many more items.
On a personal note, I’ve had family members and friends being patients within the C4 Georgina Ward and Unit. I’ve also been in and have shown support whilst a loved one went through their chemotherapy journey and let me tell you, the atmosphere is SO friendly, positive and supportive… and not forgetting a huge shout out to the staff who go above and beyond to help make the chemo journey of their patients in the ward and unit run as calmly and comfortably as possible.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant impact so thank you so much for taking the time to click, read and donate!
