The Hanwha Eagles had their first five innings of blue-and-white match on the 13th, 13 days after the start of the spring camp.
After completing morning training, the Hanwha Eagles team divided into white and orange teams from 1 p.m. to proceed with the inning according to the number of pitchers' pitches.
Starting with Lee Tae-yang, Park Sang-won, Kim Bum-soo, Kim Kyu-yeon, Jung Yi-hwang, and Kim Min-woo, Lee Min-jae, Lee Sang-kyu and Yoon Dae-kyung pitched one inning each for the White team.
In the batting lineup, Kim In-hwan (3 points), Moon Hyun-bin (2 points), Kim Kang-min (2 points) and Noh Si-hwan (2 points) scored homers, respectively, confirming their batting performance in the actual game. New foreign hitter Jonathan Peraza also showed an active performance, scoring two hits, including a double and a single, as well as stealing a base.
Manager Choi Won-ho said, "Instead of live pitching and live batting, which started around this time, we started the process of gradually raising our sense of practice with five innings of Cheongbaek match," and explained the significance of Cheongbaek match, "In the Cheongbaek match, the pitchers were meaningful in that they directly faced the batters, and the batters focused on confirming their batting sense."
"From now on, we plan to conduct practical training with an emphasis on raising the sense of practice, including two practice matches against the Australian national team and exhibition games," he added.
The Hanwha Eagles installed Peach Clock in the game against Cheongbaek on the day to check the pitching tempo of pitchers. The KBO League plans to introduce Peach Clock on a trial basis starting this season.
