Hi there!! I've been a volunteer counsellor at Childline for over a decade. It's a place and space very close to my heart. Over the years I've seen how the many branches of our service supports the lives of countless young people and families.

Childline is a space where young people can come and there will always be someone there to answer their calls, chats and emails. It's a unique and vital service which requires funding and input to continue to help keep young people safe and offer them the chance of empowerment.

Money raised will go towards all areas of the service from training volunteer counsellors like me to the school service which raises awareness and can be the first step to a young person realising they have a voice. Nationally we take thousands of contacts a month and each contact alone costs around £4 to achieve.

The juicy details! In the Spring of 2024, I'll be cycling to each of the 12 Childline bases. I'll start in Aberdeen working my way across Scotland, grabbing a ferry to the two bases at Northern Ireland before coming back across for the Welsh bases and the ones in England. I'm under no illusion this will be easy but I've decided to add some extra spice by doing it on a single speed bike! Oh and at the end of the ride I'm going to run the London marathon too. Just to let my legs know I love them!
