Tour De Luce Charity Cycle · 7 June 2025

With a focus on patient-centred care, we combine state-of-the art-equipment, novel clinical trials, passionate staff and the most modern cancer research with compassion and effective psychological support so that our patients and their loved ones can feel fully supported throughout their cancer journey. We do this because we know each person and every cancer is unique - we don’t want to treat them all the same. Guy’s is the leading UK provider of care and treatment for people with cancer and we’re dedicated to helping patients navigate what can be the most challenging time of their lives. With all our services located under one roof within our bright and welcoming Cancer Centre, we’re able to offer seamless care every step of the way, from diagnosis, through treatment, and after, in an environment that doesn’t feel like a traditional hospital. We know that the landscape of cancer is changing. More people are being affected, but we’re at an exciting point in time when promising new therapies are being developed and research breakthroughs are waiting to be made. It’s crucial that we continue to fund the innovative research, treatment and exceptional care that takes place at Guy’s to ensure we keep going above and beyond what the NHS alone can provide as we help more people cope with and survive cancer.

Story

The Tour De Luce returns for its 4th year in a row, and we are taking it back to the leafy green Richmond Park on the 7th June!

I'll be cycling 200km around Richmond Park intending to go sub 7 hours. Please feel free to come and join and cycle, run, walk, skip, hop, jump etc.

I would like to encourage anyone to come and take part and see some friendly faces, all raising money for a great cause.

Why does the Tour De Luce exist?

Almost 2 years ago, we sadly lost Lucie on the 17th June 2023 after her ongoing 2-year battle with breast cancer.

In 2022, I started this cycle after Lucie was first diagnosed with breast cancer. Watching Lucie go through this and all of the treatment was quite a helpless feeling for me; no matter how much I wanted to, there was nothing I could do to change what she was going through.

But I wanted to do something; raise as much money to support Guys Cancer Charity who have done some amazing work. Lucie's treatment at Guy's was amazing and the facilities and people were second to none.

Guy's have also been a huge support network for me as well and have made this incredibly emotional experience that bit easier, and I can never thank them enough.

Any donations, big or small, are all welcomed in Lucie's memory, and will help the fantastic work of Guy's.
