Two groups of local runners who go by the names “The Monday Social” and “Middleton Runners” have joined forces to raise funds for Ashgate Hospice, in honour of Doug Kirkland, who is currently fighting cancer.

I, Shaun Spencer, one of the founding members of the “Monday Social” and Doug’s son in law, wanted to do something special and came up with the Trig Point Challenge.

On Saturday the 7th of October we will be running 35 miles, visiting 11 Trig points around Matlock and the surrounding areas.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated for a fantastic charity.
