Story

Hi I’m Troy Conner, I am a military veteran after being badly wounded in active service while in Afghanistan. I was serving with the Parachute Regiment and due to the life changing injury’s including a brain bleed, loss of sight in right eye and broken back. This unfortunately ended my proud service.

I have had such a journey since trying to find where I fit after always wanting to be in the Army since childhood! I was introduced to the Armed Forces Para Snowsports Team in 2016 and learned how to Nordic Ski This have given me so much and changed my life. I now want to raise funds and gain recognition for this fine and life changing Charity!

Please help me Support this Team and the people, fellow veterans and staff involved I believe we can do this together all while I complete a 30km Ski Marathon.

What is this endeavour?

The challenges include a 182km trek in Costica with an elevation gain of 10,500 meters, the equivalent of summiting Mount Everest three times. In France, participants will tackle a 30km Ski Marathon to demonstrate their endurance and skills on the slopes. The challenging terrain of Spain will see the team embark on a trek from sea to summit, conquering the highest mountain in Spain over 3 days, covering 82km with a 5000m ascent. Sweden will host an extraordinary 24-hour Skiathlon where participants will push themselves to ski non-stop for an entire day. Finally, the team will cycle the NC500 in Scotland within 5 days, showcasing the scenic beauty of the Scottish countryside while continuing their fundraising efforts.
