Summary

Following years of intensified bombing and a continuous blockade, the devastation in Gaza has reached unprecedented levels, with official death tolls now exceeding 75,000, the destruction of much of the infrastructure and the use of starvation as a weapon of war. In the West Bank there is a severe escalation of settler violence and military operations by the IDF, leading to record levels of Palestininan deaths, displacement and casualties. The Big Ride for Palestine is partnering with the Middle East Children's Alliance to provide emergency aid to children and families and support community projects for children in Palestine right now. With hundreds of others across the country I will be riding to oppose the Israeli occupation and violence, to raise public awareness of the situation and to raise funds to provide life-saving aid.

Challenge

Half the Palestinian population are children. Hundreds of thousands of children have been displaced and don't have access to adequate food, water, or shelter. They have been traumatized by ongoing |sraeli bombings, raids, and violence on their communities.

Solution

MECA works for the rights and well-being of children. They have been working in Palestine for 38 years. Their local partners will provide food parcels, hot meals, clean drinking water, psychological support and other essential aid to families impacted by Israel's attacks across Palestine.
