Story
Wow I've embarked on an opportunity of a lifetime to join Hospiscare on the Indian Himalayan Trek 31st Oct -12 Nov 2026.
Trekking in memory of my much missed Uncle Denzil, Brother Jon Collins and Cousin Stephen Williams, the best of family I could ever have wished for.
With supporting Hospiscare allowing them to continue the fabulous service's & support to so many families.
I know it's going to be a huge challenge in many ways, Physically, Emotionally and Financially so my fundraising goal is to raise £5000 for Hospiscare.
Please look out for my fundraising ideas over the coming month's and please support wherever & whenever you are able.
Hospiscare is such a great asset to so many, but needs our support to keep it.
The route follows an ancient trail from the home of the Dalai Lama, passing panoramic mountain landscapes along the Karei Stream, through alpine meadows. I’ll then take the overnight sleeper train before visiting one of the wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal. I’m looking forward to experiencing the rich culture and traditions of the region – and especially to spending two days volunteering with a local community project in Delhi!
Hospiscare are a local charity, caring for terminally ill patients and their families across Exeter, Mid and East Devon. The trek I’m taking on will be a real challenge; I'll be trekking for up to 8 hours a day! But it's nothing compared to the challenge of a terminal diagnosis that so many face each year. If I can help make things a little easier for those facing one of life’s most difficult journeys, that’s what I’m going to do!
