Story

I’m taking on the Purplewave Challenge with my bestie Yannis to support The University of Manchester. I’ve just started my fundraising page with a goal of £100, supporting Student Inclusion and Success.

I feel really grateful to be studying at Manchester, where I’ve had so many opportunities to learn and explore. In my second year, I took a module called Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), which opened my eyes to how society often overlooks people from underprivileged backgrounds.

Whether it’s race, gender, sexuality, or social class, inequality is complex. Many students still don’t get the support they need to reach their full potential.

That’s why I want to do something about it. Through this run, I’m hoping to raise both awareness and funds to support students who are held back by their circumstances. I truly believe everyone deserves equal opportunities to thrive at university and beyond!

Every donation, big or small, helps make that possible. Thank you for supporting us and helping create lasting change at Manchester and beyond.

Challenge accepted.
