How does Sleep Easy help?

Each night we provide housing for 225 individuals, all of whom temporarily find themselves without a place to live.

This year, we are raising funds to allow our Youth and Community team to continue providing vital support to our young people and communities including; therapeutic counselling, daily activities like visits to our allotments, physical sports sessions, support entering work-based programmes and volunteering opportunities as well as the opportunity to participate in leisure activities.

This year we will also see us entering our forever home as Padley@YMCA Derbyshire, here we will continue to offer and grow our traditional services for individuals; warm meals, activities to combat loneliness and isolation, shower facilities and community pantry but we’ll also grow our provision to enable members of the community who are unable to access food provision to have a place to use community kitchens to cook their food for their families, have access to a laundrette alongside opportunities to learn through training and education and volunteering opportunities.

All with the aim of supporting those we serve to move them along their positive pathway.

Christmas is an especially difficult time for individuals at risk of homelessness.

I am raising money this Christmas to help those that YMCA Derbyshire and Padley @ YMCA Derbyshire support.

Money raised will support individuals by providing delicious meals and a gift at Christmas. We also want to provide additional support to those most in need through the provision of health and wellbeing activities and vital support both during Christmas and in to 2024.
