I am skydiving for MS-UK this April!

Skydive · 7 September 2024
In 2018 I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). At the time I didn’t know what MS was or how it would affect me.
MS is an autoimmune condition where the immune system mistakenly attacks the brain and spinal cord. There is no cure, but there is treatment to reduce relapses and the scarring relapses causes. I was given two rounds of infusion in 2019 and 2020.
Despite managing day to day, I struggled to come to terms with the fact I have the condition. As well as the uncertainty of how it would affect me in the future.
Thankfully, when things were tough I discovered MS-UK. This charity provides support for those with MS. They aim to improve understanding of the condition and allow those with MS to live happier, healthier lives.
They helped me understand what MS is and I learned that having MS doesn’t diminish my value or worth as a person.
I now have an opportunity to make a difference on April 27th 2024 as part of the National Skydiving Day for MS-UK event. This exhilarating experience will not only raise awareness of MS but will help generate funds for this wonderful charity.
If you can give anything, no matter how small, it will go a long way to helping others like me receive support and guidance when they need it. I am grateful to everyone who is willing to donate.
Thank you all for your generosity.
I would like to thank my family and friends, my MS team and all those in the wider NHS as well as MS-UK for their support.
P.S. I’ve said MS too many times!! 😁💪🏻
