Story
On Sunday 25th April 2027, I’ll be running the London Marathon in honour of my brilliant mum, Julie, who we all miss everyday.
St Catherine's Hospice provided incredible care and compassion to my mum and our family during the most difficult time of our lives. They gave us dignity, comfort and support when we needed it most. I am and always will be incredibly grateful for everything St Catherine’s did, from checking in on us at home and in the hospital, to helping with much needed pain relief which made sure mum was not only able to see me get married but also do a speech to all our family and friends only a few days before she died.
Now I'd like to give something back. I have never been a runner so I am well out of my comfort zone here, but so honoured to have the opportunity to do something to support a wonderful charity in my mums memory.
Mum loved watching the marathon and even volunteered handing out water once so hopefully she will be watching me! 🩷
Thank you!
Vicki
