Rockinghorse is a Brighton-based charity which has been supporting children for over 50 years. It was set up in 1967 by Dr Trevor Mann to improve healthcare services for sick children and babies. The charity fundraises for items for every child's treatment, from toys to life-saving equipment.

Story

On May 10th, I will take a leap—literally—by skydiving 15,000 ft, with my best friends Brett and Shellie, to raise money for The Rocking Horse Charity.

The charity support babies, children, and families at The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, The Trevor Mann Baby Unit in Brighton, and specialist children’s wards across Sussex.

This isn’t just about the thrill of free-falling; it’s about making a difference for a cause close to our hearts.

I am making this jump to thank this amazing cause for the support they have given Brett and Helen with their two beautiful children, Tillie and Theo, who I am honoured to be Guide Parent to.

32 years ago, the Trevor Mann Unit in Brighton looked after me when I was born with complications. Fast forward 31 years later, the 2 Ts spent their first 7 weeks in this unit where they received amazing care.

More recently, Theo has undergone further operations at the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, where the staff were also outstanding and he remains under their care.

Words are enough to thank this amazing charity for all the work they have done over the years. Therefore, I stupidly signed up to throw myself out of a plane instead.

Every penny raised ensures other families receive the same exceptional care. Please consider donating—every contribution makes a real difference.

Let’s make this jump count! Thank you for your support.
