For My Georgie ❤️

Continuing what we started together

This has been, without a doubt, the hardest journey I’ve ever had to face in my life.

In May 2025, our world changed forever when my beautiful wife, Georgie, was diagnosed with uterine leiomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer.

I couldn’t even pronounce it, let alone understand what it was. I’d never heard of it before, and what shocked me most was the lack of awareness, research and treatment options available.

Imagine being told the person you love has a rare cancer, that surgery is the only option, and afterwards you simply have to wait, have regular scans and hope for the best.

That was our reality.

Sadly, in March 2026, we received the devastating news that Georgie’s cancer had returned, more aggressive than before, and had spread. This time, we were told it was incurable.

What followed were some of the most difficult months of our lives. Hospital admissions, aggressive chemotherapy, complications and 52 days spent between Maidstone Hospital and the Royal Marsden.

Then came the news that no further treatment options were available.

Our focus changed. It was no longer about trying to fight the cancer, but about helping Georgie live as long as she could, as well as she could.

And that’s exactly what she was determined to do.

Throughout everything, Georgie showed the most incredible courage, dignity, strength and humour. Even when she knew her time was limited, she wanted something positive to come from what we were going through.

She couldn’t change her own diagnosis, but she wanted to help change the future for someone else.

Together, we decided to share her story, raise awareness and help more people understand what sarcoma is.

That’s how our Rare But Real Walk came about.

With the support of our amazing Health Hut Nutrition community, friends, family and so many wonderful people, over 500 people came together to walk, raise awareness and show Georgie just how loved she was.

It was something truly special.

Sadly, on 17 September 2026, I lost my beautiful Georgie. She was just 50 years old.

Losing Georgie has changed my life in ways I cannot begin to describe. She wasn’t just my wife. She was my best friend, my biggest cheerleader, my business partner and the person I had planned to spend the rest of my life with.

But one thing I know is that Georgie would never want everything we started together to stop here.

We built our life and our business around helping others, encouraging people to believe in themselves and making a positive difference in their lives.

And now, through Georgie’s Lasting Legacy, I want to continue doing exactly that.

I can’t change what happened to Georgie, and I can’t bring her back.

But I can help change what happens for someone else.

I want to continue sharing her story, raising awareness of sarcoma and raising vital funds for Sarcoma UK to support research, improve treatment options and help families who will face this devastating disease in the future.

This isn’t about one fundraising event or reaching a particular target.

It’s about continuing something that meant so much to Georgie and making sure her voice, her story and her legacy continue to make a difference.

To everyone who has supported us, walked alongside us, donated, shared our story or simply been there when we needed you, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Your kindness and generosity mean more than you’ll ever know.

I’m so incredibly proud of you, Georgie. And I promise I’ll keep doing my best to make you proud, too.

Your story doesn’t end here, darling.
