Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Due to the success of our hike in 2025 we plan to tackle again to brighten up the day of more children that use our services at Walsall Manor Hospital
This hike will be extra special as it is a tribute to our dear friend and colleague Sam Smith, who we sadly lost.
A message from Sam’s Mother Tracie ;
If there was two things in life that Sam loved ,it was his job in theatres and his role as a scoutleader .He would be so proud that this fundraiser to climb Snowdon is to be done in his memory .
Sam would have been the first person to volunteer for something like this.He was so kind ,caring ,thoughtful and always put others first.He was our gentle giant .A big thankyou to everyone taking part ,and to Laura for contacting me.Its for a wonderful cause and Sam would be beaming with pride .

🥾 Charity Hike
💙 Supporting children’s recovery care
We’re fundraising to help create a dedicated Paediatric Recovery Bay for the new theatres at Walsall Manor Hospital — giving young patients the best possible care, comfort, and support after surgery.
