A group of us at Warley Rugby Club and Warley Boxing Club will be holding a Charity Football Event to raise money for Scotty’s Little Soldiers – a charity close to our heart that supports children who have experienced the death of a parent who served in the British Armed Forces.

Members of the Rugby Club, Boxing Club, Armed forces and local community will be coming together on Armed Forces day to watch The Royal Yeomanry take on The Royal Marines Veterans in what promises to be a great game of football!

Founded by war widow Nikki Scott, Scotty’s Little Soldiers is a national charity which provides support to hundreds of children across the UK who have experienced the death of a parent who served in the British Armed Forces. The charity was set up in 2010 in memory of Nikki’s husband and father to her two children. Corporal Lee Scott, after he was killed in Afghanistan in 2009.
