Story
On Sunday 28th June 2026, I’ll be taking on the 6K Total Warrior challenge in Leeds for a course built around mud, fire, ice, obstacles and endurance raising funds for CWA.
The real reason I felt compelled to take on Total Warrior is because the struggle, grit and resilience it demands mirrors in a small, symbolic way - what many women supported by Central Women’s Aid endure every single day. The obstacles on the course are nothing compared to the obstacles these women face: fear, uncertainty, rebuilding their lives and finding safety again. Their courage is the real definition of being a warrior.
I actively decided I’m going to push myself, let it be for something meaningful. Let it be for the women who fight battles far tougher than any mud run. Let it be for the women who deserve safety, dignity and a future free from abuse.
