Story

Hey there!

For Christchurch RFC, community matters. This is why our senior men’s team is gearing up for the Home-Start Wessex Plane Pull 2026. On 31st August, the Saxons will be pulling a Boeing 737 to raise funds for an amazing cause.

That amazing cause is Home-Start Wessex, which supports families with young kids in Dorset who are going through tough times—whether it’s dealing with poor mental health, postnatal depression, disability, domestic abuse, bereavement, isolation, financial struggles, or managing multiple births. Their mission is to help parents grow in confidence and build strong bonds with their children while connecting them to the local community. Because let’s face it—childhood can’t wait.

We’re aiming to raise £1,500 to make a real difference for these families. Every penny counts, and goes directly to providing friendship and practical support when it’s needed most.

The Saxons need your support to help Home-Start Wessex do what it does best! Support our Plane Pull challenge by donating today and help give children the best possible start in life. You know it makes sense… #upthechurch
