Dundee Kiltwalk 2024 · 11 August 2024 ·

We help the babies, children and young people treated at Scotland's largest children's hospital, the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow. We fund medical equipment, research, play programmes and family support services to ensure that our young patients receive the best possible care and experience.

Story

For this year’s charity challenge I’ve signed up to do the Dundee Kiltwalk in August. The walk starts in St Andrews and finishes 21 miles later in Dundee mostly walking along the Fife Coastal Path.

I’ll be doing it as part of the Lucy's Bootcampers team and we are raising funds for the Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity. This is a charity close to one of bootcamp girl’s heart. Nicola's daughter Eva was born with a cleft lip and palate in 2015 and since then has attended the hospital regularly for appointments and operations. The whole hospital go above and beyond to help the whole family; not just the patients, but also their parents and siblings. The play team deserve their own special shout out as they keep the children entertained with arts and crafts, games and technology. Eva would not have got through her last stay in December 2023 without them keeping her mind occupied.

We cannot wait to begin this challenge to raise money for such an important charity and thank you all in advance for any support given to us.
