We provide a wide range of support to individuals who have been affected by limb absence, through sporting initiatives and social inclusion projects.

Story

💛 We did it and it was unforgettable.

Earlier this year I celebrated 11 years in remission from triple negative breast cancer - a milestone I’ll never take for granted. To mark it, I wanted to do something big. Something meaningful. So I set myself a challenge: to take on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, alongside my husband Alister and our son Stuart.

We’ve just returned from Peru after four of the hardest (and most incredible) days of our lives. We walked 26 miles through heat, altitude, humidity and thousands of ancient stone steps, climbing over 4,200 metres above sea level. We camped in the mountains, cheered each other on, and shared memories I’ll never forget - even if I did come home with bronchitis!

It was tough. But we did it. Together and for a good cause.

Amputation can happen for many reasons, including cancer, diabetes, sepsis, meningitis, vascular disease, accidents, and addiction. Research shows that without the right support, 30% of people who undergo vascular amputation don’t survive the first year. That’s why the work FYF does is so vital.

Finding Your Feet offers connection, understanding and practical support at every stage of life with limb loss. Their clubs, activities and peer community help people build confidence, improve their physical and mental wellbeing, and know they’re not alone. Whether it’s a phone call when things feel tough, a chance to try something new, or simply being around others who just get it, FYF is there when it matters most.

Our businesses, Bathroom Elegance bathroom-elegance.co.uk and Wet Wall Works wetwallworks.co.uk, are proudly sponsoring this trek to cover all costs. That means every single penny you donate goes directly to FYF and the people they support.

Thank you so much for supporting us, and for helping others take their next steps too.
