Sleeping out to support UK veterans

At the end of March, a team of 30 or so colleagues from Melrose GKN Aerospace will be giving up their beds for the night and sleeping in a trench under the stars as part of the Great Tommy Sleep Out. The challenge is designed to replicate, in a small way, the harsh reality that many of the UK's veterans face every single night.

Every winter, Royal British Veteran's Enterprise (RBVE) sees a rise in veterans arriving at their doors in urgent need of support after enduring extreme weather, poor mental health, hunger, and the cold.

RBVE currently supports hundreds of veterans and their families through safe housing, employment opportunities and welfare support – and Melrose GKN Aerospace is proud to offer its support to this great cause.

Colleagues from our sites in Bristol, Cowes, Luton, Birmingham and London will be taking part, making it a UK-wide effort. And we would be incredibly grateful for your sponsorship. Every pound raised will make a difference to veterans around the UK, and Melrose GKN Aerospace will match-fund the total amount on this page to double the impact.
