Story
We are the St Wilfrid’s Warriors — a group of teachers and support staff who spend our days caring for, supporting, and championing young people.
On 28th March, we’re taking that care a little further (and a LOT higher) by tackling the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge: 24 miles, three mountains, and a goal of completing it in under 12 hours.
The Warriors are Kathy, Mel, Dan, Sharon, Sally, Gail, Magda, Dave and Janene — colleagues, friends, and slightly daft humans who thought this sounded like a good idea when we were warm and indoors.
We’re doing this to raise money for Sheffield Children’s Hospital, a place that means so much to our school community and to families across our region. The hospital provides life-saving care, specialist treatment, and ongoing support to children and young people when they need it most — often during the hardest moments of their lives. It’s a place of expertise, compassion, and hope, and we want to give something back.
Every donation — big or small — helps make a real difference. It will carry us up steep climbs, through tired legs and sore feet, and remind us why we’re doing this when the hills feel endless.
Thank you so much for supporting the St Wilfrid’s Warriors. We’ll walk every mile with your generosity in mind.
The Pride of Yorkshire sculpture trail celebrates a momentous milestone for Sheffield Children’s Hospital:150 years of extraordinary impact.
Funds raised through the Pride of Yorkshire will support cutting-edge research, vital new medical equipment, and therapeutic activities that bring warmth, innovation, and excellence to every corner of Sheffield Children’s. Whether it’s distraction tools and play workshops that ease anxiety, or pioneering breakthroughs that are shaping the future of children’s healthcare – every donation will help to build healthier futures for children and young people.
By supporting this campaign, you’re helping to create a hospital environment built with children in mind – for today, for tomorrow and for the next 150 years.
