In May 2020, our eldest son David was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome. David was a fit & healthy lad, playing football, rugby & also a keen swimmer. Naturally, his diagnosis was a complete bolt from the blue. He was initially admitted to Crewe's Leighton Hospital before being transferred to the expert Nephrology team at Manchester Children's, where he continues his care journey.

Having decided to try and raise some funds & awareness, I applied through Kidney Care UK, to run next years London Marathon and I'm pleased to say I was successful.

Kidney Care UK provides vital support and resources to patients and their families, helping them navigate the challenges of kidney diseases. My fundraising goal is £2,500, and every donation will count towards reaching that target. Your contribution will make a real difference in the lives of those affected by kidney disease.
