Glenn Kirkwood was one of the truly good guys - someone who enjoyed life and always had time for people and a smile on his face.

He was a loving husband, father, son, teammate, workmate and friend to many people.

He was also a Wingerworth JSA coach - giving his time to help others within football - be it the kids in his squad, kids who weren't involved with teams or other coaches who needed a bit of advice.

Thats why he'll be missed and it's why WJSA will be embarking on a series of activities to raise money for Ashgate Hospice and to keep his legacy alive.

The first of those activities is a charity walk from Chesterfield FC - the club Glenn supported - to Doncaster Rovers - where he started his professional career.

The 26.7 mile walk will be undertaken by WJSA coaches and friends on the day the Spirites play Rovers, making it even more important to get there in time.
