Rank Entertainment Holdings Pvt Ltd, which operates a Sri Lanka-based domestic market and a land casino business in Africa, has signed a lease with a subsidiary of Nepalese company Gollian Group to operate a casino at a Hyatt Place hotel, several Nepalese media reported on Wednesday.
Hyatt Place Hotel is located in Salti Mode, Kathmandu.
The lease was signed by Gollian Group Executive Director Akshay Gollian and Rank Entertainment Holdings Chairman Ravi Wijeratne, media reports.
Nepal-based Golian Group is a conglomerate that operates businesses ranging from agriculture, manufacturing, financial services, and renewables, as well as construction and accommodation. According to a company announcement at the time, the group owns the 153-room Hyatt Place Hotel, which started operations in November last year.
Rank Entertainment Holdings, a subsidiary of Sri Lankan conglomerate Rank Holdings, operates land casino games in Sri Lanka, Madagascar, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
