Behind every uniform is someone carrying experiences they can never fully share the calls answered, the lives saved, the losses that stay. Over a career, they may face more than 500 traumatic events, each adding to a growing mental health toll. You can ensure no carries that weight alone.

Story

Cast members of Channel 4 show Hollyoaks will line-up as Wrexham Police FC's next opponents in a charity fundraiser.

To be played at Airbus on Sunday, 22 October, the friendly match will be played in support of the Blue Light Card Foundation.

Established in 2022, the charity funds projects to support the health and wellbeing of all blue light services such as police, ambulance and the fire service.

In their fixtures against community sides to date, the Wrexham officers have raised more than £17,000 for charities, hospitals and local initiatives.

Sgt Dave Smith Sergeant Dave Smith reached out to Hollyoaks cast member Nick Pickard, who plays Tony in the show, to organise the game.

And he now hopes his side can raise even more vital funds for a good cause in their latest clash against the soap star celebrities.

He said: "I’d like to thank Nick Pickard and the cast of Hollyoaks for agreeing to play us.

"Their support will help raise awareness and funding for a great cause that supports the health and wellbeing of emergency service workers.

Spectators are welcome to attend the 5pm kick-off, with entry costing £3 for adults and £1 for children.
