Story
I’ve been lucky enough to secure the Halifax Harriers club place for the London marathon. (Very lucky as April got it last year)
As most of you know, we lost Melvyn, our most perfect greyhound in mid September. We are still at a loss, as our world revolved around him.
He came everywhere with us and so many of you knew and loved him like we did. We know this from the many condolence messages we received and these were a great comfort to us.
We are using this chance to raise money and say thank you for the best 5 and a half years that this giant gentle hound gave us.
Melvyn came from Tia rescue. Tia was local to Halifax at one point, being based in Sowerby Bridge & Cragg Vale. They’re now based in Inverness but still have strong support here in Yorkshire.
Tia is a charity that saves these precious animals from a certain industry and those people who use them, and then cast them aside.
Tia will be celebrating their 30 year anniversary in 2026, this is perfect opportunity to get their fundraising well underway.
Many thanks for taking the time to read my story and I will share many updates on how my training and preparations are going x x x
