Story
Last year I ran a half marathon in memory of our beautiful friend Kristy to raise money for Cancer Research.
This year I am once again running my own planned half marathon in Memory of Kristy Robson and in honour of my Aunty Deb who has terminal cancer. St Cuthbert’s Hospice is very close to our hearts and a charity my Aunty Deb has raised money for over many years. It’s a place where both family and friends have went over the years for care or like Kristy and many others to spend their final moments before passing. This will be again one of the most emotional runs I’ve done thinking of Kristy who is now passed and My Aunty Deb who are two of the most strongest women I know.
My Aunty Deb is more than just an Aunty. Shes a Mam, She’s a Nana, She’s a best friend. Shes the person who’s ran around for everyone her whole life in both work and for family and friends, she’s the person you’d rely on if you needed someone to be there or to talk to whenever difficult times happen, she’s the person you’d go to when you’d need a harsh reality check with no honey coating (which I have done many a time), the person who gives the best cuddles in the world and one of the most beautiful people I know. She is and always will be just like a second Mam to me
So please dig deep for a good cause and if you see me clap and wave and remember why I’m doing it.
Cancer can get the middle finger from me. 💚
