Story
🦓 Zebby has kindly written the following 🦓
Firstly, thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page which is raising funds for EDS UK.
My hooman has hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and volunteers for EDS UK as an area coordinator facilitating in person support group meetings.
She wasn't diagnosed until 41 years of age and understands the struggles and barriers that us zebras face, and also the head scratching that medical professionals seem to do before joining the dots - typically diagnosis takes many years sometimes many decades. Often by this point, damage to the body particularly joints, is done. The party tricks. The bendy bits. All fun and games as a teen.....if only what was known then was known now.....
She has sacral tarlov cysts, frequent subluxations, degenerative disc disease, osteoarthritis, gastrointestinal issues, chronic pain, chronic fatigue, tremors and vertigo on a daily basis with the added extras of occasional dislocations with acute pain and swelling, and chance of prolapses. The medication required to control pain and tremors contributes to the brain fog, occasional short term memory loss, mood swings and fatigue amongst other things.
We are all about raising awareness. Educating medical professionals. Raising money to ensure patients and their families get the support they need, through advice lines, support groups.... please see EDS UK website

You can follow my adventures on Instagram, the main social media platform I use to raise awareness of the Ehlers-Danlos syndromes and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder

I attend local events with my "sale rail" where my hooman donates from every sale of her own clothing/shoes/accessories, we are in the midst of organising quizzes, sponsored walks and various fundraising activities. We needed a page which would not be time limited 🦓
Please help me to help others
Let's raise some money
