Ehlers-Danlos Support UK improves quality of life for people living with the Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS). They work across the UK to support, advise and inform those living with the condition and the medical professionals working with them.

Why we have chosen #DazzleWalk26

After a lifetime of attending GP appointments and various specialist consultant appointments, I was finally diagnosed with Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome a few years ago in my early 40s.

This May, Gregg and I are participating in Dazzle Walk 2026, with Zebby (Instagram @zebraontour2025) to raise money for Ehlers-Danlos Support UK. We aim to walk every day in May with a couple longer walks if we can. We are kick starting off early at Easter in Norfolk.

Snoop, our Blue Roan Cocker Spaniel will be joining us for most of our miles. Previously we have also raised money walking for The Dogs Trust and Prostate Cancer (March the Month) and of course more recently Ehlers Danlos Support UK.

Every penny donated is much appreciated, the EDS UK are constantly working to raise awareness and fund research. Hopefully the length of time taken from first symptom to diagnosis can be quicker in future for so many people, helping to avoid unnecessary operations and medical procedures.

As I can no longer manage a long walk, we will be recording several shorter walks over the next few weeks (with Zebby of course!) in various locations. Each walk we will will dress accordingly incorporating the Zebra where we can.

Ehlers-Danlos Support UK provide support and advice including face to face support group meetings which are invaluable to people.
