As some of you may be aware, my partner, Iain, was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis 10 years ago. What was an incredibly difficult time for Iain and his family, was the reason our paths crossed. Now fast forward 10 years and we have a beautiful little girl. Unfortunately, one of my Nans battled with Crohn’s disease before she sadly passed away many years ago.

My aim for the marathon is to raise as much awareness as possible of both Crohns & Colitis and to try and raise £2000 for this incredible charity!

Right now, an estimated 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. And the real number could be almost double that.

Because of the stigma and misunderstanding surrounding these diseases, thousands of people are suffering in silence.

We’re working to improve diagnosis and treatment, and to fund research into a cure; to raise awareness and to give people hope, comfort and confidence to live freer, fuller lives.
