Zoe & Hannah’s fundraiser for SWEDA

Zoe Cottrell is raising money for SWEDA

15,000 ft sky dive · 28 August 2026

We are the only charity in the South & West of England to provide preventative and recovery focused support, which works to prevent hospitalisation and address the root causes of eating disorders.

Story

Bravery looks different for everyone.

Every day, as Children’s Team Counsellors at SWEDA, we have the privilege of supporting incredible young people and their families who are affected by eating disorders. We witness extraordinary courage as they face fears, overcome challenges, and take difficult steps towards recovery. Their resilience inspires us every single day.

Recovery is not easy. It takes immense strength to walk into a counselling session, to be vulnerable, and to keep choosing hope, even when things feel overwhelming. We are constantly humbled by the bravery of the young people we work alongside.

Now it’s our turn to step outside of our comfort zones.

We are taking on a skydive to raise vital funds and awareness for SWEDA. Jumping out of a plane is something that genuinely terrifies us, but it feels fitting to face one of our own fears in honour of the courage we see every day in our work.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help SWEDA continue providing life-changing support to children, young people, and families affected by eating disorders. Your generosity will help ensure that more people can access the compassionate care they need on their journey to recovery.

Thank you for supporting us as we take the leap—both literally and figuratively. Together, we can raise awareness, fund essential services, and remind those affected by eating disorders that they are never alone.
