My running challenge of 100 miles from Paris to New York is over. I completed the New York marathon on 2nd November. It took me 7 hours and 5 minutes, a very long time. I know it would be slow as I had not done much training due to being incredibly busy with work and my feet rebelled against all that pounding.
My husband and daughter came out to cheer me on & they certainly did that, in the end they walked the last 5 miles with me, chivvying me along in an encouraging way, it meant alot to me. They say every picture tells a story and my official marathon pictures certainly do that, they are the only marathon pictures that dont show me smiling!.
Anyway back to the business of the reason for doing this - my target s in sight. Thanks to all of you who sponsored me I really appreciate it. The gentleman I am sponsoring has started the wheelchair technologists course so this time next year he will be qualified, mainly thanks to you all
