Story
Three Peaks Kayak Expedition Summer 2010
Inspired by the annual sailing come fell race. The goal of this endurance challenge is to climb the Three Peaks of Snowdon 1085m ( Wales ), Scafell Pike 978m ( England ) and Ben Nevis 1344m ( Scotland ). What makes this different to the normal Three Peaks Challenge is that we’ll kayak and bike the 900km distance between them, linking the sea to mountain sections by bike.
The trip is done and took 20 days. The journey was long and hard, but very rewarding. Paddling and biking up to 9hrs daily. Here's the stats:Three Peaks and 3400m climbed. 450km with 5000m accent by bike. 450km across the ocean by sea kayak. 120000 calories burnt. 250000 strokes paddled and 120000 pedal revolutions.... 23 maps used... Wicked...Please donate kindly to the RNLI, hopefully we'll never need them, but just in case...
