Story
If your reading this thanks in advance! Now for the emotional plea....!
18 months ago Charlotte and I accepted the challenge of running the London Marathon; 1 year ago I delayed my maiden voyage (changed house, job, city) last October the training began in earnest…
…6 months later and numerous enforced night time speed training sessions through Moss Side, several cases of sorus nipilitus and the big day is looming.
Why you may ask yourself would I want to run 26.2 miles? To be honest in recent weeks on a cold Sunday Manchester (wet) evening, every time my sodden trainers squelched in a random sequence on the crumbling northern pavements as I avoided the numerous puddle filled pot holes only to eventually step in one, that thought has crossed my mind too!
BUT 4/5 years ago when I was diagnosed with epilepsy the National Society for Epilepsy was really supportive, it also brought to my attention all those sufferers of epilepsy whose symptoms are far more sever than my own with far more severe consequences, so it is for the NSE that I am running the London Marathon and hope to raise £1,500 and your donations no matter the size can help me reach that target and help NSE help sufferers of Epilepsy.
If you are based down South, please come along and support, or laugh at me as I crawl past, its a great atmosphere!
In case your worried donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: National Society for Epilepsy will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Thanks for your support!
