So, after a busy day at work, I got home looking forward to putting my feet up. My wife had different ideas, nothing new there, except this idea was not quite the norm.

'I've volunteered you to do the Great North Run. Is that ok?'

There wasn't a lot I could say to get out out of it, especially when she told me she was going to do it as well!!
So, the training started, I thought I was fit through playing football, how wrong I was, and now we are 'seasoned' athletes, having completed the Great run in Manchester last May. So go on dig deep, we are putting a lot of work in to this for a very deserving cause.
