WE MADE IT!!

Well we made it and completed the challenge.  We were blessed with glorious weather throughout which meant we got to see enviable views on both Ben Nevis and Snowdon.

After a 10 hour drive to Scotland we managed to arrive safely.

We set off from the base of Ben Nevis the next morning at 09.30 and headed up the mountain.  The weather was so hot we had to use sun cream.  However, as we got closer to the peak we found snow.  Ity was quite icy snow so rather hard to get a grip on it.  However, it was certainly fun coming down and some funny moments to watch.  The view was amazing but not long to admire as we had to head down.

Then back in the bus for the 4/5 hour journey to Scafell.  Soon got dark, but we managed to navigate to the top safely, although it was very cold and very windy so we didn't hang around.  A little navigation error on the way down ensured we found lots of sheep rather than the mini bus.  However, we did find the bus eventually and managed a well deserved cup of tea!!! Ver British.

Then head down to try to get some sleep and onto Snowdon.  Arrived to more beautiful weather and headed off along the Pyg track.  The nice weather seemed to bring out a lot of people as the route was like a motorway but some very interesting people to talk too. 

After getting through the dreaded zig zags it was a final last oush to the top where we were spoiled with the most amazing views all the way out to sea.

Then back for a nother well earned cup of tea before heading into the mini bus and back home.

We still have money coming in and will have raised about £1000 which we are absolutely delighted with.
