On Fri 30th Aug I will be spending the night under the stars with just my cardboard box and colleagues for company. As well as experiencing just what a night on the streets is really like, I hope to raise a good chunk of money for Launchpad to continue their brilliant work!

Launchpad Reading (formerly Reading Single Homeless Project) is a registered charity that helps some of Reading’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged people to turn around their lives and fulfil their potential.

They provide supported housing to single people who have a history of homelessness. And, as homelessness rarely comes alone, many are struggling with substance or alcohol misuse, have a history of offending or mental health issues, had a poor start in life or have been affected by a relationship breakdown.

Research suggests that 30% of homeless young people have been in care and this makes the work of Launchpad even more of a worthy cause to CSfC.
