Well, after years of talking about doing it, this is the year I finally attempt my first marathon, when on September 20 I join my brother, Matt, to run the Berlin Marathon. To provide me with maximum motivation - which I can assure you will be needed on my long training runs - I am going to be running the 26.2 miles in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of my late Nana, as it was her chosen charity and one that provides a crucial lifeline to cancer sufferers and their families.
