Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page, we're raising money for CMT UK by participating in a Tough Mudder Half event in May 2017.

CMT UK carry out research into Charcot Marie Tooth (CMT) which currently has no known cure. CMT is slowly progressive, causing deterioration of peripheral nerves, which control sensory information and muscle function of the foot/lower leg and hand/forearm. More information can be found at cmt.org.uk

We were inspired by a brave and determined little girl called Ella, who Louisa currently teaches, and was diagnosed with CMT.

Ella's CMT affects her walking, she needs leg splints to walk but she doesn't let this stop her! Ella is one little amazing girl with a huge smiley personality!

As mentioned, there is no cure or medication to stop the CMT, it is currently just a case of treating the symptoms it causes. This is why fundraising is so important!
