Billy and Neil Ramsay, Directors of Ramsay and Jackson Ltd, have successfully completed the challenge of cycling 328 miles from MAUCHLINE to JOHN 'O' GROATS in 3 days.

Also rising to the challenge are their sons, Andrew and Matthew and two friends "Auld Gary" and "Big Scott".

Initially this bike ride was organised for "fun" but they have since decided that cycling for The British Heart Foundation would make the trip more meaningful.

The boys cycling skills were put to the test over the last weekend in August 2010.

Every Sunday come rain, snow or shine the lycra clad lads can be seen out and about in the Ayrshire countryside breaking speed limits in a blur of brightly coloured shirts. For those of you who know Neil and Billy you will understand how their competitive spirit can easily take over on a simple Sunday cycle. Matthew, however, was lured into the trip by the promise of 2 days off school!
