Fundraising for Project Peru
Story
On 6th September 2019, we have decided to push through our comfort zones and embark on a 4-day Inca Trail hike to Machu Picchu in Peru (yes Trisha is hiking!).
This will be one of the toughest challenges we have ever undertaken and one that will test our endurance, resilience and strength but it will be worth it for the worthy cause we are trying to raise money for.
The charity we have chosen is Project Peru - a small and completely voluntary UK based charity. A third of people in Peru live below the poverty line and this charity offers food, clothes, shelter, education, health and fun to those who live in the children’s refuge in the desert shanty towns of Lima. It also gives ongoing and practical support to those who live in extreme poverty in the local community.
Your support by means of sponsorship will mean so much to us and will be greatly appreciated by the children of Peru who don't have the right to basic needs such as education, healthcare and being safe from violence/abuse - something we all take for granted.
