Story

Many thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

During March 2009 3rd-16th myself and a group of friends plan to climb Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, the worlds highest free standing mountain at 5895m (almost 20,000ft). Myself and all the members of the team are funding the challenge individually so any donation will go in full to my chosen charity CHAS. The Children's Hospice Association Scotland's work speaks for itself and they do an amazing and Im sure very difficult job. It may interest you to know that there are only two in Scotland so come on please dig as deep as you possibly can for this worthy cause and help to spur me on when it counts.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Children's Hospice Association Scotland, (CHAS) gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Remember 100% of your donation will go to CHAS. www.chas.org.uk

So please sponsor me now!   Update:- Thank you all for the fantastic donations you have made, there are only a handfull of days left until we go and we have done so well in getting to the target that I am raising the bar.  new target set on 18th Feb. £3500.00. We can do it!!!.

Its green for go!! we have reached the target again so lets see if we can do a little more. 02nd March new Target set £3750.00

Well as you can see from the picture we have made it, all 10 of the guys got to the top. There were highs and lows some guys not too well from time to time but we were a strong team and congratulations to all my team mates and a big thank you to Mike Annand who's great idea this was in the first place. You can still donate if you wish too!!!!!!!    Go on you know you want too.

Thanks also to Alan Duncan at Fugro-Improv for the sponsership of the jackets they were put to good use and were excellent.

Big thank you to Henry Steadman and his team of guides, cooks and porters.  They made the trip a fantastic experience and one I will never forget.

Ray.
