Story
Thanks for visiting RJIS' City Race fundraising page.
On 16th July 2009 five RJIS head office staff will be competing in the City Race 5k corporate challenge. This is a race through the City of London in which hundreds of firms compete against each other for a shot at the top prize. Being a firm of such natural athletic ability meant that the desire to take part in this was close to 100%! Unfortunately because of an unprecendented number of injuries only five people are now going to toe the line. They are, in no particular order of potential speediness or seniority Alex Rumsey, Nick Bennett, Zaid Sardar, Richard Cotterell and Jason Cherriman.
We have decided that we would like to use this oportunity to raise some much needed money for a charity close to everybody's hearts - Save the Children. Save the Children is a charity founded in the 1920's by Eglantyne Jebb on the premise of providing support to children around the world who needed assitance and funding for four very fundamental rights for children; health, freedom from hunger, education and protection. To this day Save the Children has helped millions of children around the globe who urgently need this support.
We appreciate that we're in a recession and the purse strings are tighter than ever but we would really appreciate any small donation you could possibly afford.
Many Thanks,
Alex, Nick, Zaid, Richard & Jason
