Please support my emergency lockdown challenge for 150 kids’ smiles. Please sponsor an emergency care pack and help me put smiles on the kid’s faces and food in their bellies.  

I am going to run (well jog on a treadmill at home) 150Km in 7 days, just over 21km (a half marathon) every day for seven days to help raise emergency funds. Starting Monday 19^th July and finishing Sunday 25^th July.  

Whilst in a homebound lockdown many families who live on daily incomes in Saigon, have been unable to earn a living over the past four weeks. Each day they face an even harder struggle to put food on the table and feed their kids. 

Saigon Children’s Charity (which normally focuses on removing barriers to education across Vietnam) is frantically delivering emergency care packs.  Each pack contains USD60 (VND1,400,000) worth of essential foods, with vegetables added this is enough to feed a family of four people for a month (30kg of rice, 60 packs of noodles, cans of sardines, fish sauce, soya sauce, cooking oil, sugar, seasoning, sugar, soap, dishwashing liquid, children’s books and toys) and the Saigon Children team is distributing these from 30 different distribution points across Saigon.

I hope to impact 150 households and their kids, one for each kilometre that I run.  I would love your support.  This is time-critical, so if you are keen to support, please do so today.  No amount is too small for families that can live on US$5 or 100,000 VND a day.
