It has
always been an ambition, since our early days at school together
to do a serious challenge in aid of some great causes, pushing us
mentally and physically to our limits. The plan was hatched over a few
drinks a year or so ago that
Robert Graham and I, Max Johnson would cycle back to London from
Moscow...! We are flying out on the 4th June to embark on what will be a
2,500 mile cycle ride back to the UK – we have fittingly named this
adventure, Red Square
to Sloane sq! To give you an idea of the magnitude of this foolhardy
plan of ours, it is the equivilant to doing Lands End to John O'Groats 4
times!
We are doing
this without any financial contribution in aid of three excellent and
worthwhile causes - Help for Hero’s, Brooke Hospital and
Tumaini.
Many of you will be very familiar with some of these charities;
Help for
Hero’s raises
money for members of the armed forces that have been wounded in the
service of
their country. Anyone who volunteers to serve their country in time of
war,
knowing they may risk all, is a hero.

Brooke hospital helps working horses, donkeys and mules in some
of the
most deprived areas in the world. Often suffering from exhaustion,
dehydration,
malnutrition, disease and painful injuries, Brooke provides free
veterinary
treatment for these animals that would otherwise suffer.

Tumaini is a charity that helps children in Kenya infected or
affected
by HIV/AIDS. Tumaini provides African children born with HIV and then
abandoned
by their family them with a home and loving care.

Anything that you are able to donate to these causes is greatly
appreciated.
Thank you all for your support.
Love,
Max and Robert
