Thank you for taking the time to visit the Just Giving page in memory of Richard Waddington. Anyone who knew Richard would not be surprised to learn that he chose to personally support Action for Children, the children’s charity.
Action for Children provides specialist help and support for disabled children, children living in care, and vulnerable families and young people in the . Their aim is to help disadvantaged youngsters reach their full potential.
Gifts made in memory of family and friends are always special, and help greatly to support the work of Action for Children. Richard’s family would like donations made to go to a project close to his home town. They have chosen the Havering Stepping Stones Project in Romford, Essex.
Havering Stepping Stones Project provides parenting courses for vulnerable families, and has a set of mentors looking after care leavers aged from 12-18 years. It also provides advocacy for young children, where an adult is commissioned to specifically represent the wishes of the child during social services and family court cases.
