Story
Most of us have or will know someone who has suffered as a result of coronary heart disease. It is the UK's single biggest killer. Some of us have lost family and friends, some of us know people who have survived heart attacks and strokes but are never the same again. If you don't you will more than likely know someone at some point in your life who will be affected by heart disease.
I lost my step dad Lee at the young age of 44. He was just the average outgoing family man that we all know. He went in for routine heart surgery as he had a birth defect that was seen as a potential risk to him later in life. From that surgery he developed a heart infection called endocarditis which only 20 in a million people get each year, which eventually took his life.
I aim to run 26 miles in the London marathon in April 2016, for the British Heart Foundation . To run for this charity I need to raise a minimum of £2000 which won't be easy but is achievable with the help of you all.
All proceeds go to funding vital research to prevent heart disease, survival activity, and into providing quality care and support for those living with heart disease. The disease affects people of all ages whether it's a child or an adult.
Thanks for taking the time to read and any donation is appreciated and goes to an extremely good charity which is relative to us all.
